Annuals - adding a splash of color can go a long way in making a landscape stand out. Planting some colorful annual flowers is a relative inexpensive way to spruce things up.
Pruning - Shape up any overgrown or unsightly trees & shrubs. Pay attention to plants that have overgrown a sidewalk area or are blocking window views. Consider removing shrubs that are too overgrown & planting something new or maybe adding a container plant in its place
Mulch - A fresh layer of mulch is another easy way to spruce up a landscape. The fresh color helps define lines & the strong contrast makes everything pop.
Landscape Beds - Weed landscaped areas & remove leaves & any other debris. Make sure hoses are wound up & put away. Metal edging is a cost effective way to divide landscape beds from the lawn.
Walkways & Drives -Use weed killer to get rid of vegetation growing out of cracks & seam. Use an edger or string trimmer to take care of grass & weeds that are growing over the sides of walkways - sharp straight lines make a lawn look well maintained.
Fertilize - Having an open house in the next week or two? A light fertilizer application ahead of time will make the lawn look green and healthy
Pressure Washing - Consider cleaning brick, vinyl siding, paved areas , decks & walkways with a pressure washer. It is an inexpensive way to make a home look newer & more inviting.
